Welcome to Techno Log and Cedar Homes website.
I am Francis Vorbeck. Before being lead to form Techno Log and Cedar Homes, I was interested in doing research with the prospect of eventually
building our own log home. Going through the experience step by step gave me
hands on knowledge that I could not have acquired otherwise. This knowledge
became an asset to assist my clients in deciding on the best choices, and what
to be mindful of when making one’s dream home a reality.
Over the past year Techno Log and Cedar Homes has expanded,
we continue to represent Pacific Log Homes due to the diversity in building, we
now have included Linwood, custom cedar post and beam homes and Maple Homes a
Linwood company.
When browsing our website one can view beautiful pictures
and floor plans of Pacific and Linwood Cedar Homes to kindle your
imagination of that dream home. When you have searched, shopped and decided on
what you want or maybe need help deciding, get in touch with Techno Log
and Cedar Homes. We are here to be of service to you.
What did we learn…
- Most
important, compare the packages and services (re-assembling, supervisor,
crane, freight) offered.
- Spring
loaded thru-bolts for the log walls.
- The
best corner for a hand-hewn log
home: the shrink-fit wedge notch corner.
- Purchase
the best windows possible. It is an investment and not expenditure.
- Choose
soundproofing 2 x 4 partition walls for bedrooms.
- Do
not go below 12" mean logs
-
Maintenance - look for "no chincker logs"
- as
last position: Insulated panels with pine liner on one side (finished
ceiling)
And what do we offer….
- No
obligation estimate
- Assisting
in paperwork, engineering, permits. etc.
